Vote Out Hunger Lake County 🗳️

September 18, 2020 by Kelly Quintero Leave a Comment

This year Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is piloting a voter registration program called Vote Out Hunger. Second Harvest, along with the Feeding America network of 200 food banks across the country, are encouraging advocates, supporters, donors, feeding partners and most importantly clients, to make sure they’re registered to vote in the upcoming 2020 Presidential Election. Second Harvest is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization and does not support or oppose any candidate.

Why should you vote?
Your vote this November can help decide the future of crucial programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), how many kids get school meals, and whether fighting hunger is a priority for lawmakers.

How can you vote in Lake County?
There are three ways you can vote:

  1. Vote By Mail
  2. Early Voting
  3. Election Day Voting
  1. Vote By Mail
As a registered voter in Lake County, you may request a vote by mail ballot. The deadline to request a vote by mail ballot is October 24th by 5 PM. You can request your vote by mail ballot for Lake County here from the Supervisor of Elections: Request my ballot in Lake County!

You can return your vote by mail ballot via the USPS or by dropping it off at any early voting location within Lake County. Check out the Early Voting locations below in the next section. Your ballot must be in the possession of the Lake Supervisor of Elections by 7 PM on Election Day. If you have mailed your ballot, the Supervisor of Elections must be in possession of the ballot by 7 PM on Election Day. Postmarked ballots prior to Election Day that do not arrive in time to the Supervisor of Elections will not be counted.

Still have more questions about Vote by Mail? Check out the Lake County Supervisor of Elections FAQ.

    Early Voting
Lake County voters can also vote early at any early voting location near them. Early voting in Lake County is available from Monday, October 19, 2020 to Saturday, October 31, 2020. They will be open from 10 AM to 6 PM.

The Lake County Supervisor of Elections is offering 12 early voting locations throughout Lake County. If you have a vote by mail ballot, they can be returned to any of these 12 sites until October 31st. Here is a map of all 12 sites: Lake County Supervisor of Elections Early Voting Sites.
