In an effort to support communities impacted by the coronavirus pandemic in Central Florida, Grant and Tamia Hill have partnered with Lineage Logistics, the world’s largest provider temperature-controlled food logistics, to help provide more than 1.6 million meals* to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, a member food bank of Feeding America®.
“This pandemic has impacted the world on so many levels, and it’s important for our family to support communities suffering right now,” said Mr. Hill. “Tamia and I are so proud to work with Lineage Logistics, Feeding America and Second Harvest Food Bank to help families in need.”
The Hills partnered with Lineage through its “Share A Meal” campaign, pledging to support the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Lineage launched this campaign globally on March 23, committing to the goal of helping to provide 100 million meals across the world. Lineage’s goal to help provide 100 million meals will include financial and in-kind donations facilitated by Lineage and its partners to Feeding America and other hunger-relief organizations.
“The COVID-19 pandemic presents extraordinary challenges for moving, storing, and distributing food on a large scale,” said Greg Lehmkuhl, Lineage’s President & CEO. “At Lineage, we’ve built a business dedicated to shepherding food all over the world, and that experience puts us in a unique position to help overcome these challenges. We’re thrilled to partner with Mr. and Mrs. Hill on our Share a Meal campaign and to provide meals to in-need families in Central Florida.”
“These are challenging times for everyone and the need is so great,” said Mrs. Hill. “Grant and I want to do our part to help others, and we want to encourage everybody to come together as a community to help where they can.”
