Do you believe that children, families and seniors should not have to worry about their next meal? Sadly, 1 in 6 Central Floridians experiences hunger. The good news is that hunger is a solvable issue, but we need your voice.
Below are two ways you can get involved today.
- Take the Hunger Pledge
No one should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. Resolve to fight hunger in 2021. Sadly, 1 in 6 Central Floridians is food insecure, that number is rising due to the pandemic. Hunger is a solvable issue if we work together. Take the pledge and join the movement to fight hunger in Central Florida. - RSVP to the Advocacy Town Hall taking place next week
Public Policy & Food Insecurity Advocacy Town Hall
Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 11:00 AM EST
Dave Krepcho, President & CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank, will join me in providing a live update on the policy changes we saw in 2020 and what to expect in 2021 for hunger in Central Florida. We will share how your voice has helped provide more meals to families, kids and seniors over the past 11 months. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions before and during this session. The call will begin at 11 AM on February 25. There will be no fundraising requests made during the call.
No matter how you choose to fight hunger in our community, thank you for making a difference in 2021!
