Orlando’s 407 Day is about celebrating and supporting our community and the people who call Central Florida home. With neighbors facing increasing uncertainty, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is gearing up for what’s ahead: rising grocery prices and tighter budgets.
One thing that remains constant is our community’s generosity to step up and help in times of great need.

Donors
Food bank supporters provide food and financial gifts that make it possible to fight hunger, feed hope and help our neighbors thrive. This 407 Day, Second Harvest is calling on 407 donors to step up and provide meals, hope, and relief to those who need it most. And thanks to an anonymous donor, every dollar donated will be matched four times—multiplying your impact to feed even more families.

Feeding Partners
More than 870 feeding partners across seven Central Florida counties make it possible to distribute enough food for 300,000 meals daily. The special 407 Day match will help stock pantry shelves, provide food for kids and deliver groceries to homebound seniors.

Volunteers
The selfless acts of kindness and service ensure food donations are sorted, meals are packed and food is ready for distribution out into the community. Individual and group volunteer shifts are available at the main distribution center or Mercy Kitchen in Orlando and at the new Brevard Branch in Melbourne. Check out upcoming volunteer opportunities or help fight hunger faster by becoming one of 407 special donors today and have your gift matched to provide four times more meals.

Neighbors
No one in our community should face the reality of hunger. Second Harvest provides food, SNAP application assistance, nutrition education and workforce training to ensure kids, families and seniors have the food they need today and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
Let’s come together this 407 Day to give, share, and keep food on the table for Central Florida neighbors.
