Since 2016, Danny has been unwavering in supporting Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and the fight against hunger. His journey began with the former Wine, Women and Shoes event where he volunteered as a “sole man.” He then took the role as the founding chair of the food bank’s Young Professionals Committee, where he and a small group of like-minded folks enthusiastically built a grassroots group of charitable young professionals committed to making a difference through action, awareness and advocacy.

When Second Harvest launched the Ultimate Garden Party four years ago, Danny joined the planning committee and helped make the food bank’s new signature fundraising event the success that it is today.
Reflecting on the Ultimate Garden Party, Danny shared, “It’s just been really exciting to see the event grow over the years and see what it means to folks in the community.”

The fourth annual Ultimate Garden Party is coming up on May 17, at the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. Tickets are available now with options for general admission, a VIP experience or a table for 10 guests.
He said his role as 2025 event chair is to steer the volunteer committee to stay on deadline and on task over the eight to ten months leading up to the event.
“I keep people engaged and put people in positions where they will best use their talents to make the event more successful, create an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship and a sense of community amongst ourselves,” Danny said.

He attributes the success of the Ultimate Garden Party to the collective effort of everyone involved.
“It’s truly the group of people who make event what it is,” Danny said. “Of course, the staff and volunteers, but also the attendees who purchase a ticket, who fill room with the love at that event all in the name of helping to fight food insecurity.”

Danny said he would ask people to imagine themselves in the shoes of those facing food insecurity to motivate them to get involved. “I would ask them to take a look around and see who’s out there in the community and recognize that no one should go to bed hungry,” he said. “It’s important to put yourselves in others’ shoes, and the food bank really offers a place to make a difference and an impact in very tangible way.”
Neighbors facing hunger have a real need for support in Central Florida, and Danny said that is his purpose and why he stays involved year after year.
“It’s a basic human necessity that you can’t really do anything without,” he said. “How could any person succeed or prosper if they didn’t have this basic need met? It’s just foundational for a person trying to get back on their feet. That it’s so fundamental is what really gets to the heart of it.”
