As we draw near to the end of a year that most of us would likely rather forget, there are a number of things that we should all remember.
We should remember the people who lost loved ones to COVID-19 this year, and reach out to comfort them as best we can. We should remember the first responders and frontline healthcare workers who continue to risk everything to care for our community. And we should never forget the many thousands of our neighbors who felt financially safe and secure one year ago, but who today are struggling to pay for basic needs like food.
None of us asked for this situation. But I think the real memory for me will be the way that Central Floridians reached down deep, came together, and helped each other in the best ways we could.
Your generosity and support has made it possible for our organization to provide more food than we imagined we could this year. Your kindness and giving spirit have provided hope for those who have been running very short of it this year. For that, we are grateful to you! Thank you.
