When I reflect on the time I have spent in Central Florida since moving here nearly a year ago, the word “grateful” keeps coming back into my mind. There is so much about life in this community to be grateful for.
There is so much about life in this community to be grateful for.”
As the leader of an organization that works to help people facing hunger, I’m incredibly grateful for people like you.
I’ll admit that sometimes we can all feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenge of fighting hunger. But when I see how many people care — really care — about their neighbors who can’t afford enough basic needs like food and then see those same people step up and help make those resources available, I continue to believe we can close the gap for all who need our help. Not only when unexpected pain comes along, like it did this hurricane season, but also during the holidays. This time of year, the daily hunger disaster knocks on the door of many Central Floridians. Thank you for extending kindness and hope to our friends and neighbors now and all year long.
Thank you for caring.
