Winter Park is Feeding the Need

Founding Community ChampionsWinter Park understands the true meaning of community. Feed the Need 2014 took place throughout the month of November. The City of Winter Park, Chamber of Commerce members, Rollins College, local businesses, and generous individuals all donated money to support Second Harvest Food Bank. We are happy and proud that they not only met, but exceeded their initial goal of $50,000. Winter Park’s Feed the Need 2013 raised $92,418.56! In food bank math, that equals $831,767 worth in food value! This is absolutely incredible.

We would love to thank our Founding Community Champions: Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, City of Winter Park, Rollins College, Sodexo, and ThinkCreative for really being the backbone of this campaign. Your leadership is invaluable and inspiring. We would also like to thank our Campaign Sponsors: Mayflower Retirement Community, Winter Park Memorial Hospital, Florida Distributing Co. for their lead donations to really kick-off this campaign. Finally, a huge thank you goes out to all of our Community Champions and donors.

You can see the magical things that happen with people come together with one goal in mind…to fight hunger in our community. The Winter Park Feed the Need campaign is truly one of a kind. There are no words to fully express our gratitude. Winter Park has provided hope to our neighbors in need.
