New Destiny Christian Center, #TheImpactChurch of Apopka, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Ocoee High School and other ministries came together for the second day of love in action to the hurting in Central Florida. With box trucks donated by the Edgewater High School band and the Ocoee High School-OCPS band, these box trucks burned up the road as they loaded up supplies from Second Harvest Food Bank, not once but twice on Thursday. Over 31,000 pounds of food and water were distributed throughout the day all across Central Florida.
Thursday saw the community come out once again to help and to receive help. 200 volunteers gave of their time to help distribute food to the hungry. Collectively, these volunteers logged 800 man hours in serving their community. New Destiny and partners went mobile, taking the supplies to the heart of the hurting. Mobile trucks went to Lovell Elementaryl and dropped off meat, cheese and bread to the school to pass out to students and their families!
