Something truly magical took over Orlando Fashion Square on Sunday. Canstruction Orlando is back for its 20th year and the team’s canstructures were the most enchanting yet! With this year’s theme, “Orlando CAN Be Magical!” mall goers will be left in a trance by these incredible structures all made out of canned food items.
We need your help! Please vote for your favorite Canstruction by clicking here. The Canstruction with the most “likes” will win the People’s Choice Awards. Be sure to share with friends and family too!
All the food used to build these magical works of art will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank to help feed families in need right here in Central Florida. The Canstruction event also serves as an awareness builder. If you go to Orlando Fashion Square, you can’t help but look at each one of the Canstructures…then of course you can’t help but to learn more about hunger in our community and what Second Harvest is doing to help.
There are a few key supporters that we must thank.
All the Canstruction Orlando teams! They made those structures go up so easily and quickly on Sunday. It was almost as if they had a magic wand! Each team raised money to purchase all the food used in the structure and then donated their time and talent to make it happen. A huge thank you to all of you!
To Orlando Fashion Square for being an incredible partner year after year. What a great venue for Canstruction Orlando. Thank you for going above and beyond for us!
Finally the biggest thank you to our Canstruction Committee! They volunteer so much of their time to be sure this event goes off without a hitch and boy, did they do a great job! Thanks to first time Canstruction Chair, David Stone and the entire amazing committee: Patrick White, Deborah Rusnock, Tracy Carey, James Moore, Keith Newhouse, Carol Perez, and Karah Wilson. You all are true hunger heroes and we cannot thank you enough.
Be sure to head on down to Orlando Fashion Square to check out these magical structures before they do their disappearing act on Sunday, October 27th.
