On behalf of all our neighbors in need, we are so grateful to everyone who participated in Winter Park’s Feed the Need Campaign. We watched this event grow from a food drive at Rollins College to a huge, community-wide fundraising effort and we are so proud of everyone involved.
Last week we were finally able to reveal how much the campaign raised. Community leaders, business owners, and Winter Park residents met at the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce to celebrate a successful campaign…and boy, did they have a lot to celebrate. Not only did they meet their goal of $50,000 but they almost doubled it by raising $96,261.81 to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.
In food bank math, that donation will allow us to provide $866,359.26 in food value to our Central Florida community. How incredible is that?
We cannot say thank you enough to all of the committee members, sponsors, community champions, and supporters who made this campaign a true success:
