Family Food Box Drop at Lake Meadows Apartments

Bites Camera Action, Universal Orlando Community Outreach Program

Bites Camera Action! mobile pantry truckA Universal Orlando “Bites Camera Action” Community Outreach Activity was conducted in partnership with Second Harvest Food bank of Central Florida and The Orlando Housing Authority.  The purpose of the event was to distribute 25 family food boxes to Lake Meadows Apartments pre-identified tenants.

The event was a great success. Several other family food box drops, in various locations, are scheduled to continue, in Florida, through-out the year.

To give a brief description, Second Harvest Food bank of Central Florida’s involvement in the Orlando community:

  • On Monday, June 17, 2013, family food boxes, filled with enough food to feed several people for 3-4 days, were distributed to the Lake Meadows, senior apartment complex.
  • The family food boxes were a benefit to seniors, both financially and those who were unable to provide transportation, from their facility.
  • With continuous donations and community support, we will provide additional meals and services to the Orlando Community, at large.

It is a pleasure to work for a company, who is about the mission of “Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope”
