Do you understand the current food guide pyramid?If you answer yes to this question, you likely have had a lesson on the anatomy of MyPyramid. At a glance, MyPyramid is not self-explanatory. It symbolizes an approach to healthy eating and physical activity, but does not necessarily explain it.

Well .. hooray! A redesign of the pyramid is underway and will follow the release of the new Dietary Guidelines this December.

  1. Thanks, thats very useful stuff to know! I admit I’m a bit useless in the kitchen, but I’m trying my best to learn. Admitting iis the first step right!? I promised to cook a whole meal for my wife this weekend for the first time – very exciting! I found some simple recipes at this website, seems to be designed exactly for me, which is fantastic!
