Their mascot may be a cow, but Chick-fil-A has really upped the ante this year during their 11th annual Turkey Drive! Over the past two weeks, customers, local schools and businesses have had the opportunity to donate $1 or more to help feed local families at 6 different Chic-fil-A locations. “We have once again been overwhelmed by the support of this turkey drive,” said owner/operator Tim Lytle. “The Southchase, Hunter’s Creek, Kissimmee and South Orlando community has shown that during this time of year, they are more than willing to give and help families in need.”
Thanks to all of their hard work and dedication, 287 turkeys have been donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. This makes 2017 the most successful Turkey Drive to-date in 11 years! Over $3,450 was raised between all six locations to make this happen. In 11 years, this annual Turkey Drive has brought communities together and raised over cumulative $27,948 and donated over 2,246 turkeys to the food bank. That is no small feat! We cannot express our gratitude and appreciation for Chic-fil-A returning yearly with such a kind donation. These turkeys will no doubt give many families in Central Florida hope for the holidays.
A huge shout-out to the teams over at the following Turkey Drive participating locations:
