State Senator Denise Grimsley recently toured Second Harvest Food Bank to take a closer look at hunger in Central Florida and the many programs that the food bank runs to feed thousands of people.
As an administrator for a Florida hospital, she sees the strong connection between health and hunger. Providing fresh fruits, vegetables and nutritional education is vital for kids to learn and ensure a healthy and strong workforce. Senator Grimsley believes agriculture is the bedrock of Florida’s economy.
She is one of the candidates for the position of Agriculture Commissioner in the state of Florida.
