On Friday, May 4th, in honor of Star Wars Day, 30 Disney volunteers visited Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida to be a “force for change.” This group of Imagineers works closely with Star Wars projects at Walt Disney World and aspires to inspire the community to use their talents for good. They spent the afternoon packing and sorting thousands of pounds of frozen meats.
Warehouse employees and volunteers shared smiles on Friday afternoon while giving back to communities in Central Florida.
Disney volunteers formed an assembly line to sort hundreds of pounds of food in less than 3 hours.
Volunteers from Disney diligently checked the quality of food items before packing items for future distribution.
Disney volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help make way for additional pallets of donated food to be sorted and packed.
The force was with Disney volunteers on Friday as they smiled while working at the Second Harvest warehouse on Friday.
