Whether you jot down resolutions with each New Year or simply want to make a change for good, Second Harvest Food Bank offers ways you can feed hope in 2019, both big and small.
1. Donate food
If your New Year, New You resolutions have you starting a new diet or this is the year you are finally decluttering your home, you can donate unopened, non-perishable food items to Second Harvest. Your donations will be sorted and distributed to emergency food assistance programs in Central Florida.
2. Donate funds
When you make a one time or monthly financial gift, your dollars turn into meals for our hungry neighbors in need. Your $10 gift provides 40 meals, or 480 meals as part of our monthly Meal Makers program.
Volunteer activities can help with several of your New Year’s resolutions, such as getting active, giving back, reducing stress and improving mental health. Volunteers help with a variety of tasks such as sorting and packing food donations, bagging fresh produce, preparing meals for kids, stocking shelves, and much, much more. Find a volunteer opportunity at www.feedhopenow.org/volunteer.
4. Attend an event
