Thank you for so beautifully telling the story of the Pearlman Pantry. I think you captured the heart of the day-to-day work----the real deal...what it feels like to us, the providers and what it feels like to the recipients, our "normal" neighbors.

Nitzia was here yesterday helping out, Paula the other day, you had your day in the pantry. All of you at Second Harvest walk the walk. You're a gift to JFS and to the community. We are lucky to have you!

"I was struck by how “normal” and everyday folks the people who received the food were."

This is the response I get day in and day out from my husband, Tayler Gold, JFS President. We probably meet several people a day that need and/or use the assistance of agencies like JFS and don't even realize it.
